Jodi Davis will keynote at the Minnesota Administrators for Special Education (MASE) 2008 Fall Leadership Conference on October 22 in Brainerd. The Conference theme is The Power of Leadership. Leadership is a key theme in Davis’ latest book The Promise of Potential.
Davis has met with stakeholders to learn what current challenges are facing special education administrators today.
“Too often leaders are stuck putting out fires instead of doing the work of leading,” said Davis. “Leadership makes the difference. It is about igniting vision in the organization."
Davis will speak about courage, confidence and authenticity in the roles of high performing leaders. Her background in education informs the speaking engagement. She has a degree in elementary education and is an adjunct professor at a Minneapolis college.
