Jodi Davis Speaks with Women and Sports Leadership Council

Jodi Davis spoke at the inaugural Minnesota Timberwolves/Lynx Women in Sports Leadership Council on September 10. Davis, the featured speaker, discussed coaching and mentoring, which are major themes in her latest book The Promise of Potential. All who attended received a copy of the book.

"Women are a minority inside sports organizations. The Timberwolves and Lynx are smart to recognize the benefits of establishing a model for supporting and fostering the women inside their operations. Perhaps they will become a model for how other NBA and sports franchises work with women leaders," said Davis.

The Promise of Potential, which is known to be like “having a personal coach in your back pocket,” was a natural fit for this group. As sports organizations, the concept of excellent coaching is highly valued! The lively discussion introduced new ways coaching will improve achievement of the organization's goals.
